16th Biennial Longleaf Conference

This meeting will convene current and emerging leaders of Prescribed Burn Associations (PBAs) to share experiences, identify common challenges, and explore opportunities to strengthen and expand PBA efforts across the longleaf region. PBAs play a critical role in increasing prescribed fire capacity on private lands, yet many leaders face similar needs related to training, liability, coordination, and member engagement.  The objectives of this meeting are to: (1) facilitate peer-to-peer exchange among PBA leaders, (2) identify shared challenges and lessons learned, and (3) discuss opportunities for collaboration, resource sharing, and future training or support. The session will include brief framing remarks followed by a facilitated discussion to ensure broad participation and practical takeaways. This meeting is open to both established and prospective PBA leaders, as well as partners who support PBA development.
